Pilates Yoga

Pilates Vs Yoga - Which Will Provide Me the Best Results?

With so many workouts available, it's hard to tell which one is best for you. So, you've heard that both pilates and yoga are excellent workout choices, but how do they differ? Is one better than the other?
Yoga and Pilates are both based on the three same principles: strength, slimming, and stamina. However, in addition to these three principles, yoga also focuses on being able to calm your mind. Yoga is one of the workouts that is considered non-strenuous, but still gives you an honest workout. Yoga also tends to be more enjoyable to a novice or anyone looking for a fun workout once in a while.
Pilates is a new trend and in a number of ways similar to yoga, but Pilates tends to be a more energetic workout than yoga and keeps your heartbeat high. Pilates entails more conditioning than most people might first believe because it helps build your body's ability to flex. This helps with your coordination and balance; that is why it is so popular with dancers and athletes that require a lot of balance and dexterity.
So, which is right for you? Both pilates and yoga will give you a great workout, but the concept behind yoga is to make you "think" good as well. It exercises your mind and your body. Pilates will condition your body at a faster rate, gets your heart going, will have you stretching in ways you never thought possible.
Both pilates and yoga have their advantages; you really cannot go wrong participating in either one. For this reason, it probably a good idea to give them both a try and see which one you like better. Like them both? Even better... after all, variety is the spice of life. Why should your workouts be any different?
